Cookie policy

SA20 Derby Series is run by SA20, operated on behalf of Africa Cricket Development (Pty) Ltd.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a basic text file that is stored on your device (computer, mobile phone, tablet or other) by a website’s server.

Each cookie is unique to your web browser and contains completely anonymous information such as a unique identifier and the website name. This allows a website to remember things like your personal preferences, products you prefer or what’s in your shopping basket.

Why do we use cookies?

derbyseries.sa20.co.za utilises one first party cookie and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies. This enables us to:

a) Remember your cookie choice. When you press Accept or Reject on the cookie bar, we store your answer in one first party cookie named derby_consent for 180 days, so that we do not ask you again on every page.

b) Determine aggregate usage behaviour (number of visits, pages viewed etc.) through Google Analytics, but only if you press Accept. Google Analytics then sets its own cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. Until you press Accept, no Google Analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.

We do not use cookies for advertising or remarketing, and Google Analytics advertising features are switched off. We do not place any commercial partner’s or sponsor’s cookie, tracking pixel or other tracking tool on the Website, and we do not collect your web behaviour on any other website. Nothing collected through cookies is sold or disclosed to the Series’ Sponsors.

Cookie opt-out

When the Website asks for your cookie choice, you can change your answer at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. If you press Reject, we also remove the Google Analytics cookies the Website set earlier. If your web browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a Reject until you choose otherwise.

Most web browsers also provide the option to block some or all cookie types should you wish to. Every feature of the Website works without cookies.
